Swiss Interbank Clearing IPI standardization
In 2001 a new payment slip was introduced, the International Payment Instruction (IPI), which has become the European standard. The Swiss financial institutions assumed a pioneering role in terms of standardization of this new payment slip. hmi informatik was assigned the realization of an Internet-based solution by Swiss Interbank Clearing. Using this solution the images are transmitted by the financial institutions to the standardization interface, where they are checked by the software for electronic readability of the writing, maintenance of the applicable standards and data accuracy.
In the final phase the solution will be used by around 600 financial institutions.
