hmi.IT-Plan

hmi.IT-Plan was developed for Credit Suisse.
Is used in the project office and in financial controlling and covers all IT controlling processes for very large informatics departments and budgets.

Project - Portfolio management
All IT projects are managed throughout their entire life cycle.
The peripheral systems (ERP, accounting, time recording…) are integrated through interfaces, guaranteeing the up-to-dateness and consistency of all systems.

Project life cycle
The use of Workflow ensures that each project proceeds as determined in the specified phases. The workflow also ensures that the project is set on the list of subjects to be discussed according to project procedure at the corresponding management meetings.

Project planning / Bottom up budgeting
The entire planning and budgeting process on the levels of cost type and major milestones is supported bottom up (from project managers to the management):

  • Planning and budgeting by year, project phase, service provider and cost element;
  • Preparation of budget applications;
  • Supplying resources from so-called budget containers;
  • Cross-financing between projects;
  • Closing of projects;
  • Target/actual comparisons.

Top down budgeting
On the strategic level, n - projects are combined in one container. hmi.IT-Plan covers the entire budgeting of containers (planning per container, comparison of top-down and bottom-up). hmi.IT-Plan supports multiple budget estimations.

Progress controls, cost controls, evaluations
Target/actual comparisons can be generated for all recorded data on various levels. Evaluations are made possible with COGNOS through an interface (evaluations in Excel and PDF).

Invoicing
The invoicing of project costs to various organizational units is made possible through distribution keys that can be altered in terms of time. Both budget data and actual data can be invoiced.
Investments and depreciation (and amortisation) of fixed assets on the basis of IAS and USGAAP.

Status reports
hmi.IT-Plan supports periodic, standardized status recording of all projects. (Visualization with traffic signals, trend calculation, key data, view functions, status progress with history.)
